The Conference will be held at the University of Split, Faculty of Chemistry and Technology, Ruđera Boškovića 35, 21000 Split, Croatia.
The Faculty of Chemistry and Technology in Split (FCT) was officially opened on October 22, 1960 and it is one of the oldest components of the University of Split.
FCT now has three undergraduate studies: Chemistry, Chemical Technology (with orientations Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection) and Food Technology, three graduate studies: Chemistry (orientations Environmental Chemistry and Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Chemical Technology (orientations Materials and Environmental Protection) and Food Technology as well as graduate study in English Chemical and Environmental Technology (in collaboration with University of Zagreb Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, undergraduate and graduate study of Pharmacy (in collaboration with The School of Medicine in Split) and two postgraduate studies: Chemistry of the Mediterranean Environment and Chemical Engineering in Materials Development and Environmental Protection and professional study Materials protection and recycling. The curriculum is governed by the Bologna process.
FCT building is situated at the University Campus at the address Ruđera Boškovića 35, Split. University Campus, the biggest project ran by the University of Split, is gradually being shaped to its final form. The buildings of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Chemistry and Technology, Faculty of Science and Faculty of Maritime Studies as well as three university departments: University Department for Forensics Sciences, University Department of Marine Studies and University Department of Health Studies, University Library and Student dormitory are already in place. Buildings of the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Kinesiology and Arts Academy, as well as Science and Innovation Centre are in the initial phase of construction or planning.
The total area of FCT is around 5000 m2 while more than 3000 m2 are available for lectures, laboratories and studying. FCT building is located in vicinity of student hostel with restaurant, equipped fitness gym, one closed sports hall, 2 outdoor sports courts etc.
International collaboration and scientific research are one of the main strategic interests at FCT as well as student exchange. FCT is deeply incorporated into the city of Split and its region. FCT is now part of the story of Split, a town that is 17 centuries old, a town of rich tradition, glorious history and beauty of its natural and cultural heritage.
